When Did God Regather the Remnant in Israel?

Through the prophet Jeremiah, God promised to regather the remnant in Israel, Jeremiah 23. Interestingly, this prophecy follows that of Jeremiah 22:30, where God brings an end to the rule of the descendants’ of David ruling upon his throne on earth. There would never be another descendant to reign on the throne of David on earth ruling in Judah. ""Thus says the Lord: 'Write this man down as childless, a man who shall not prosper in his days; For none of his descendants shall prosper, sitting on the throne of David, and ruling anymore in Judah."
God rebuked the shepherds of Israel for scattering his flock. They were held captive by foreign domination. Yet, God promised to deliver Israel. However, it is important to note that God's promise of gathering Israel applied only to a remnant. "But I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. (Jeremiah 23:1).
